HVCRC welcomed their first residents in October of 1993. The facility Board is comprised of the Juvenile Court Judges in the 12 counties in Southeastern Ohio: Athens, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Scioto, Vinton, and Washington. HVCRC utilizes innovative programming with an emphasis on individualized treatment, family participation, substance abuse counseling, individual counseling, and positive recreational activities.
